Mermaids at FKAE

Join us on May 9th and 10th for mermaids at Aquarium Encounters.  They will be performing swim shows at 11 am and 2 pm.  Afterwards, the mermaids will be hosting meet and greets where you will have the opportunity to take pictures with them and ask questions.  If you’re looking for more immersive experience, consider snorkeling with the mermaids! For $115 you can snorkel in our coral reef tank alongside the mermaids while hand feeding our stingrays, and tropical fish, then feed the sharks and other predators through the holes in the acrylic wall.

Memorial Day

At Aquarium Encounters, we are grateful for everyone who has and is currently serving to protect our country.  To honor them, we will be offering free admission to veterans and active duty on 5/25.

National Alligator Day

Happy National Alligator Day! Here at Florida Keys Aquarium Encounters, you can meet our resident alligators and learn more about these incredible reptiles during our daily alligator presentation at 2:30 PM. Stop by to see them up close and discover what makes alligators such an important part of Florida’s wildlife. Our team will share fascinating facts about their behaviors, habitats, and the role they play in maintaining healthy ecosystems. It is a unique opportunity to gain a greater appreciation for one of Florida’s most iconic native species.

Endangered Species Day

On Endangered Species Day, we are reminded of the importance of protecting the animals and habitats that are at risk around the world. As citizens, each of us can make a difference by reducing plastic use, properly disposing of fishing line and trash, supporting conservation organizations, and respecting wildlife in their natural habitats. Choosing sustainable products and educating others about the challenges endangered species face can also create a lasting impact. Small actions taken by many people can help protect vulnerable species for future generations.
