May 2019 Aquarium Update
Aquarium Encounters has had a busy May already! We kicked off the month with quite a few events, starting with the Tom Thumb Bull and Cow captains meeting, two weddings, mermaids, and Mother’s day deals! Sprinkle a few school field trips in here and there and we’ve been having a good time!
Congratulations to Franco and Kayla D’Ascanio, and Liz and Shawn Brown, on their magical wedding nights here at Aquarium Encounters. We love hosting after hours events, and a wedding reception in front of our tank is one of a kind. If you missed this past weekend of mermaid fun, don’t worry, Blue Mermaid Designs will be back at the aquarium September 28th! Come enjoy watching the mermaids swim in our Coral Reef tank, FREE with general admission. If you were wanting a closer interaction, dry meet and greats are available through the mermaids, or sign up with guest services to get in the water with them! Our Coral reef encounter is full of interaction with our tropical fish, stingrays, sharks and now mermaids. Join the fishy fun!
At Aquarium Encounters our main goal is education. We love to tour around groups of kids and introduce them to the wonders of the ocean. Our Marine biologists will walk around our facility, educating your group on all our residents here. We hope that through a better understanding of the marine life around us, we can aim to preserve the unique ecosystem that surrounds us. There is still time to bring your class to the aquarium and take advantage of our MAY field trip deals. Our guided field trips are a great way to introduce all ages to our local ecosystem, and allow kids to have fun while learning.
