April Newsletter 2026
Earth Day
On Monday, April 22nd join us in celebrating Earth Day. In 1970, Earth Day was created to push the issues of clean air and water to the national level. Over 20 million Americans participated in the first Earth Day across the United States, and since then it has been celebrated annually across the globe. On Earth Day, we should all consider how we are affecting the planet and what we can do to protect the natural resources around us. While it may seem that you as an individual are one small piece of the puzzle, there are so many ways that you can help! Check your area to see if any local clean-ups are going on! Attending a clean-up will help to eliminate the amount of plastic in the natural environment. Try reducing the number of single-use plastics that you consume! By using a reusable water bottle, utensils, or bag, you will help to lower the amount of plastic that ends up in natural habitats. Be aware of the products that you are purchasing and where they come from! Always try to shop from sustainable sources if possible. Remember that little actions can make a big difference!
Easter Egg Hunt
We will have our annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 4th. The egg hunt will begin at 9 am when we open and will continue throughout the day until all the eggs are found. There will be a limit of 5 eggs per child to ensure that everyone has a chance to find some! Alongside eggs filled with toys, we will have 8 golden eggs hidden which have encounter certificates inside of them! This event is included in your general admission or annual membership.
