Aquarium’s First-ever SECOND Annual Event!

One of Aquarium Encounters’ first ever on-property events was the hosting of the Greater Marathon Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours last summer when we opened. It was the highest attended Business After Hours event ever, and we were thrilled to make it a part of our inaugural week.

This event is now a meaningful part of our history—not only was it our first event ever, but in 2015 it was our first ever SECOND ANNUAL event!

Over 300 people came to the event to meet our new stingrays, check out the freshwater turtles, and mingle on the warm Florida Keys evening. Iberia Bank served up delicious refreshments, and the Eagle Ray Café impressed everyone with their finest grilled ham and prime rib sliders, hamburgers, and hot dogs.

Every month at these events, the Greater Marathon Chamber of Commerce fundraises for their Scholarship Fund that supports local Marathon High School Students. At our event we raised nearly $500!
